A guitar with some metal bars on it

Explore My Guitar Paintings

The artistry behind each painting at Danelane Art is a testament to my dedication to music and visual art. These guitar paintings honor the musicians who played them, creating a unique blend of history and creativity in every piece. My collection of music paintings captures the essence of rock and celebrates the legendary guitars that shaped the genre.

Stevie Ray Vaughan "First Wife"

The late Stevie Ray Vaughan called this guitar his "first wife". He acquired the 1963 Stratocaster in 1974 at a music store for a trade. Stevie played the guitar the most in his travels and it was repaired often.

Slash's "Jessica"

This painting is of "Jessica". One of the 88 standards that Slash owns. The guitar was one of his main guitars he played on the road for many years. And as you can see it bares the scars of quite a life. It was also one of my personal favorites to paint. And probably one of the most accurate as far as the wear that it shows. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Jimi Hendrix

This painting of Jimi's 1965 Stratocaster is first guitar Jimi ever set ablaze on stage. And although Jimi may not have known it at the time. This legendary stunt would forever be remembered. The guitar was rediscovered and sold in a London auction years back and sold for $600,000.

Van Halen's "Frankinstrat"

Arguably one of the most recognizable guitars ever played, Eddie's Frankenstrat went through many phases to reach what you see now. And if you read the history of this unique guitar, Eddie painted it several times. To achive the painting you see here. I had to paint every layer that he did because he never really stripped it each time he repainted the guitar. So, the only way to get the true effect of being able to see all the layers of each paint job was to paint each one on top of the last just like he did.

James Hetfield

This knock off flying V has plenty of history. Hatfield speaks about it in his book explaining the impact it had on him and his career. For me this guitar represents the Metallica I grew up with. I don't think there was a kid alive back then that didn't have at least one of there t-shirts. This painting is also available in a PG version.

Bruce Springsteen

Referred to by Springsteen as the "boss", this esquire he paid a $185.00 for, has been said to be the most valuable guitar there is. Springsteen played this guitar for 50 years and still plays it every once in a while special occasions.

Waylon Jennings

Waylon played several of these 1950's telecasters and one that was his favorite. He was known for taking good care of them rapping them in leather to protect them. I could recognize Waylon's iconic sound and style of playing almost instantly. He was a pioneer and paved the way for many artist to follow.

Angus Young "Gibson SG"

This artwork draws inspiration from several SG models that Angus enjoyed playing. I appreciated various elements from each of them and blended a touch of all. As the painting evolved and took on its own character, I became thrilled with the final outcome and hope you find joy in it as well!
